Ray was never a talented athlete in his upbringing, but his passion for fitness sparked when he started going to university in the US.  First encountering calisthenics from the streets of New York mastering his own body weight, then learning about barbell movements from powerlifting champions, to gaining insights about bodybuilding for optimal body composition and aesthetics, Ray has never stopped acquiring new knowledge about fitness with the heart of a beginner even after years of becoming a full time personal trainer.  Ray also believes optimal results also requires optimal nutrition to support your training, hence on top of being a certified trainer by Precision Nutrition, Ray also constantly experiment various dietary protocols such as ketogenic diet, intermittent fasting, and veganism to find an ideal practice in nutrition fitting different individuals’ lifestyles.  Despite the lack of talent, Ray has been able to achieve considerable rankings in calisthenics, powerlifting, and bodybuilding competition​​
